Sound - Interactions - Space

Sound informs our interactions within space, we move a certain way, our experience and encounter within a space are influenced and evoked because of the sounds that are produced by us and the space around us. What then happens when we hear a different sound to what the reality is while we interact within a space do we then move within the space differently. Are our typical interactions and experience then altered because of this change in sound or does the visual interaction override our instincts.
